Published by the HSE and complied by The Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Group South East, this is a start up manual for healthcare professionals interested in implementing the principles of evidence-based practice in clinical practice.

The Cochrane Library provides systematic reviews of primary research in human health care and health policy, investigating the effects of interventions for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. It is considered to be the leading resource for systematic reviews in evidence based health care. The database can be searched using the Basic Search, Advanced Search or search by Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).

NICE is the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence - UK. It provides evidence based guidance and advice for health, public health and social care practitioners.
NICE Pathways is an online guidance tool which provides access to the range of guidance from NICE, including quality standards, clinical, and public health and social care guidelines.

Trip is a clinical meta-search engine designed to allow users to find and use high-quality research evidence by searching across multiple internet sites for evidence-based content. It covers key medical journals, Cochrane Systematic reviews and clinical guidelines.
Trip also provides a PICO search option.
